This Privacy Policy explains how Pergamon Labs Inc. ("Pergamon Labs," "we," "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. It applies to our websites, web apps, APIs, and related online services (collectively, the "Services").
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by updating the date above and may provide additional notice (e.g., by email or an in‑product message). Your continued use of the Services confirms your acceptance of the updated Policy.
1. Who we are and scope
Pergamon Labs provides B2B data and technology services to business customers. This Policy applies to personal information we handle as a controller/organization (e.g., account data, billing contacts). Where we process data on behalf of a customer (e.g., data ingested through our APIs), we act as a service provider/processor and handle that data only under our customer agreements.
This Policy is designed to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and substantially similar provincial laws. Additional disclosures apply to residents of Québec, British Columbia, and Alberta where those laws govern.
2. Personal information we collect
We collect the categories of information below:
Information you provide to us
- Account and profile: name, business email, password, role, company/organization, preferences.
- Commercial/billing: billing contact details, purchase records, and payment information (processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
- Support and communications: the content of emails, chats, tickets, surveys, and other communications.
- Recruiting (if you apply): résumé/CV, contact details, employment history, and any information you choose to provide.
- Customer input data: files, records, and other data you upload or transmit to the Services, including collaborator names/emails you authorize.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, feature use, and timestamps.
- Transactional: purchase amounts, items, dates.
- Location: approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar tech: cookies, pixels, and SDKs used to operate the Services, remember settings, secure accounts, measure usage, and (where permitted) support marketing analytics. See Section 7 for choices.
Information from third parties
- Partners and vendors that help us with hosting, analytics, security, payments, marketing, and customer success.
- Public sources (e.g., professional profiles or public registers) consistent with applicable law and your settings on those services.
We may derive insights (e.g., usage trends) from the information we collect.
3. How we use personal information (purposes)
We use personal information to:
- Provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and personalize experiences;
- Process transactions and send related information (e.g., confirmations, invoices);
- Communicate about the Services, including technical notices, security alerts, and administrative messages;
- Provide support and respond to inquiries;
- Analyze usage to develop new features and improve performance and quality;
- Conduct and measure marketing where permitted by law and your preferences (see Section 7);
- Detect, investigate, and help prevent security incidents, abuse, fraud, and unlawful activity;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
- For other purposes that we disclose at the time of collection or with your consent.
We rely on consent where required by law and otherwise on appropriate purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
4. When we share personal information
We share personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: with vendors that perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, customer support, email delivery, security). These providers are contractually required to protect personal information and use it only to provide services to us.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- Legal, safety, and rights: to comply with laws or lawful requests, and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Pergamon Labs, our users, or the public.
- Professional advisors: with lawyers, auditors, and similar professionals under confidentiality.
- With your direction or consent: including when you integrate with third‑party services.
- Aggregated/de‑identified information: we may share information that cannot reasonably identify you.
5. International transfers (including the United States)
We are a Canadian company that uses infrastructure and providers that may be located outside your province or country (including the United States). When we transfer personal information internationally, we use contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.
Québec residents: where we communicate personal information outside Québec, we assess privacy‑related factors and implement safeguards as required by law.
6. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Actual controls vary by system and may include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, network and perimeter defenses, logging and monitoring, and personnel training. No security program is perfect, but we continuously work to enhance our protections.
7. Your choices and rights
Accounts
You can update certain account information at any time in your account settings or by contacting us.
Cookies and analytics
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can set your browser to remove or reject cookies. If you disable cookies, some features may not function properly. Where required by law, we will request consent before using non‑essential cookies.
Marketing communications
You can opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. We may still send you non‑marketing messages (e.g., security alerts, transactional emails).
Access and correction
You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask that we correct inaccuracies. In some cases, you may request deletion, anonymization, or to withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions). We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. If we process personal information on behalf of a customer, we may redirect your request to that customer.
Automated decisions (Québec)
If we make a decision about you exclusively using automated processing of personal information, you may request information about the decision, the personal information used, the principal factors and parameters, and your right to have the information corrected. You may also submit observations to a person able to review the decision.
Complaints
You may contact us anytime about our privacy practices. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, where applicable, your provincial privacy regulator.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for other legitimate and lawful business purposes. When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete it or de‑identify it in accordance with our retention policies and applicable law.
9. Children's privacy
Our Services are for business users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Third‑party services and links
The Services may link to third‑party websites, apps, or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties.

Where you submit or stream data to the Services for processing on your behalf, we process that data solely under your direction and our agreement with you. You are responsible for providing any required notices and obtaining any necessary consents from individuals whose personal information you submit to the Services, and for complying with applicable laws governing your use of the Services.
